Last week, Jaker's Pumpkin Patch graciously donated a pumpkin to each student here at Meadow Brook Elementary! The students were so excited to take their pumpkins home and show them to their friends and family. What a fun way to celebrate the autumn season! Thank you, Jaker's! On Thursday, October 31st, we are looking forward to celebrating Halloween. Students are welcome to wear their costumes to school, but may not bring play weapons. Family members are invited to our school to watch students parade through the gym from 10:30-10:45 am. We know some of you won't be able to make it into the school, so we will continue to hold and record a virtual parade on Facebook Live from 10:45-11:45. Students will parade by alphabetically by teacher name from kindergarteners to fifth grade. The parade will be available for viewing after the parade is over on Facebook and our YouTube Channel.

We all experience emotions every day, but what we do with them is key. Our goal as counselors and psychologists at Meadow Brook is to help children navigate their emotions into a positive reaction. Mr. Adam’s 5th graders took over the lunch line today! 🍽️ They had a blast serving up meals and showing off their teamwork skills. Way to go, future leaders!

This week in Mrs. Harrison’s class, we are learning about the writing process! We have gone through the planning, drafting, and editing steps and can’t wait to publish! We have a class full of amazing writers!
